Toxopheresis – a complementary approach for fibromyalgia<\/p>\n
Toxopheresis can also be used as a supportive and complementary measure for chronic pain syndromes. This is a specialized blood purification procedure in which certain substances such as circulating inflammatory mediators are filtered out of the blood. As fibromyalgia is thought to be linked to a dysregulation of the immune system and chronic inflammatory activity, toxopheresis can help to relieve the system and reduce symptoms.
